Lee N. Sheldon, D.M.D.
Dr. Lee Sheldon, originally from Springfield, Massachusetts, graduated from Clark University, Tufts University School of
Dental Medicine, and University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. His training includes residencies at Fort Sill,
Oklahoma and the University of Connecticut. Dr. Sheldon has also attended many dental implant programs including an
extended program at the Medical College of Georgia.
Active in his community, Dr. Sheldon has served as Chairman of the dental department at Holmes Regional Medical Center, President of his synagogue, Director of the Brevard Study Club, and Southeast Regional Director of the Seattle Study Club. He also is on the courtesy faculty at the University of Florida where he teaches in the graduate department of Periodontics.
A sought after lecturer, Dr. Sheldon often speaks to local groups both in and out of dentistry, and has spoken nationally on dental implants, practice management and communication. His health and medical program, Check Up, was broadcast for over eight years. He is now co-host of a radio program, Alternative Mainstream, on tropicwaveradio.net, where he documents the data on the ills of psychotropic drugs as well as the successes of natural healing.
Dr. Sheldon's primary dental interest is in dental reconstruction, and has initiated many programs, including the first computer-generated dental implant reconstruction to be placed in Central Florida. He is also the first periodontist in Central Florida to have introduced the periodontal endoscope to assist in non-surgical treatment of periodontal disease.
Dr. Sheldon and his wife, Eleanor, have three children.
Eleanor Sheldon, Deputy Executive Director
Eleanor grew up in Providence, RI. She met Lee in college and they married in 1973. Their oldest son, Daniel,
is a television sports anchor; their daughter, Stephanie, works for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement
in Tallahassee; and, their youngest son, Matthew, attends Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Eleanor has been working in the office since it opened in 1980. In her spare time, she enjoys playing
tennis, biking, reading and taking care of her Cornish Rex cat as well as many foster cats.
Danyel Joyner, Office Manager/Surgical Assistant
Danyel has been a Dental Assistant for over six years and loves it! She most enjoys taking care of patients and making a
difference in a patient's smile makeover. In her free time, Danyel spends time with her husband and their two (almost three, one on the way) children. She enjoys watching them excel in their sports and exporing new things with them.
She says, "Working for Dr. Sheldon and his staff is very rewarding. We all work
great together and enjoy providing the best treatment possible for all our patients."
Rebecca Smyth-Caudill, Registered Dental Hygienist/Director of Technical Services
Rebecca has been an instrumental part of our office since 1984. During her tenure, Rebecca has become extremely skilled
in periodontal root planing. Never short on conversation, Rebecca puts her patients at ease talking about the adventures of
her three dogs. When asked why Rebecca likes working in our office she states "The people I work with; the patients; the
ethics. We are very professional and up-to-date on innovative procedures." Rebecca, her husband Greg, and her three dogs
live in Valkaria.
Suzy Mey, Front Desk Manager
Suzy grew up in Satellite Beach and hasn't ventured too far, making her an "almost" native Floridian. She has resided in
Melbourne since 1979. Suzy is married to her wonderful husband Paul and has two great kids, Shannon and Bret. She
admits to shamelessly spoiling her third child, a Dachshund named Nike. Suzy enjoys working with Dr. Sheldon and the
rest of the team. She says, "We are always learning and growing, and striving to find a better way. I like to treat patients
the way I like to be treated."
Patricia M. Greenleaf (Trish), Registered Dental Hygienist
Trish has an A.S. in Dental Hygiene from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut (1976). She joined the practice in 1988, working part-time for 12 years. After taking time off for several years to be home with her teenagers, Trish is back working part-time. "I love working for Dr. Lee Sheldon and we have a wonderful staff," says Trish. Trish and her husband Bill have been married 29 years and have two children, ages 21 and 18. She has lived in Florida since 1976 and in Indialantic for the past 19 years.
Laura Clancy, Surgical Assistant in Charge
Laura was born in Big Spring, Texas. She has a fourteen year old son who is busy with many different sporting activities.
Laura's hobbies include utilizing her culinary degree for friends and family, walking and gardening. She is also a facilitator
at Ascension Catholic Church for the separated and divorced group. She went back to school outside of the San Francisco
Bay area to continue her Dental Assistant training. Laura enjoys working at Dr. Sheldon's office for various reasons such as
"Having a wonderful, friendly staff; everyone puts forth 100% for the best care possible; and helping people achieve the look
they want for esthetics and health reasons. This is the most satisfying reward one can get out of a career. We change lives
for a living!"
Kim Auger, Office Assistant/Treatment & Public Relations Coordinator
Kim is originally from Texas and moved to Florida and 1998. She came to our practice bringing five years of dental
and public relations experience. Kim and her husband Keith have been married for 18 years and have two children,
Cody and Miranda. Kim says "I enjoy working in and out of the office promoting Dr. Sheldon and his great staff. It is
so refreshing working with a team of dedicated professionals." Kim likes to relax while boating, cheering on her
favorite sports team, and unwinding at the beach.
Amy Lee Greika, Surgical Assistant
Amy grew up in a small town in Massachusetts and moved to Florida in 2001 to enjoy the sunshine. In her free time she loves going to the beach, fishing with her boyfriend, and making people smile. "Helping someone achieve healthy teeth and gums is the most rewarding part of working with Dr. Sheldon. Our team is very professional and I love working with them!"
Nicole Aldridge, Dental Assistant
Nicole has been married for 7 years. She and her husband love spending as much time with their toddler as possible. Her hobbies are running, bicycling, snowboarding, and any outdoor activities. Nicole says "dental assisting is such an exciting career. We are always learning new things and advancing technology. It is very rewarding to give people a new, beautiful smile."
